Common Questions and answers
Do you photograph newborns?
Yes!! I only shoot newborns age 0 to 6 weeks of age. I will not shoot them older than 6 weeks.
The earlier the better
What session do I choose for a 3 month old?
I no longer shoot between ages 6 weeks to 6 months (non-sitting babies) Tummy time and back photos are not always comfortable for babies and propping them up isn’t always safe or comfortable for them
I call that transition age little "bags of sugar". They are too big to be wrapped and made to be still and they are too small to do any posing. I wouldn't be able to offer a good variety of images for this age.
I don't print the photos you receive digital images as your final product. You can print your images with a photo lab of your choice. However I do make recommendations.
Im turning “**” and I want birthday photos?
I no longer shoot adult birthday photos. I do not specialize in fashion type photography or any type of body modification Or commercial images or headshots basically any type of adult individual photos. I honestly see the beauty in everyone so what may seem to be a flaw for you maybe the thing that I think is so special and unique about you.
I want family photos but inside.
Unfortunately, I cannot do family photos inside I don’t have the space. I don’t mind recommending someone who can though.
I don't print you received digital images as your final product. You can print your images with a photo lab of your choice. However I do make recommendations.
I want some pictures done can you suggest some ideas? Or concepts?
I ONLY choose themes for newborns. I CAN help connect the dots on your idea but I can’t come up with one for you.
Can I have the unedited photos?
I will not provide unedited images under any circumstances.
What’s included in price?
The session and the edited digitals.
Before booking please go through and look at my photos. I would love your business but I can’t compromise my style. My images are more artsy, dark and fun. Please review before booking.
We have a family of 8 and we want family photos. Unfortunately at this time I wouldn’t be able to do a family that large. I don’t have the equipment that would support large groups. I only shoot up to 6
Can we change outfits and have different poses? Sure! I don't have a problem with that. However, I shoot fast and move fast. If you can change within the 30 to 45 minutes it usually takes me to take a photo then by all means do so. Family sessions will NEVER have just one pose. I move around the location pretty well to get you some different options. If its a child birthday session they can change outfits as well but keep in mind toddlers get upset fast and their other outfits have to match the set.
How many images can we expect to receive. I deliver between 15 images come with each package. If you prefer more there is an option to purchase more. It all depends on the session type and subject how many images you would have to choose from. For example I have some newborns that come and sleep the entire session. I can move them, wrap and pose them which allows me to deliver parents a good selection of photos. Then I have some newborns that are a little bit curious and it can take a time to for them to go to sleep and get settled. Obviously, the sleepy newborn had way more photos than the curious cutie. The same for birthday sessions. Some toddlers come ready to smile and play and some just don't want to deal with my silliness and theatrics. However I can assure in both cases I do everything I can to get the preferred outcome.
I don't offer printing. The digital images you receive are your final product. You can print your images with a photo lab of your choice. However I do make recommendations of preferred print labs
Why don’t you shoot certain types of sessions? I try to explain it to people like this... In order to specialize in something and become an expert you have to decide what works best for you. You wouldn't go to an eye doctor for a foot issue. This has just honestly come with time and my growth, understanding my equipment and my continuous education towards my passion.
What’s the difference between soft proofing and fully edited?
*Soft edited images: Tone, Lighting, and color corrections and smooth or matte finishes.
*Fully edited images
Skin smoothing, blemish removal, peeling skin removed. Color correction, and enhancements
Distraction removal. Proportion correction. Sharpening, social media adjustments. Additional Artistic improvements.
Can I take photos while you take them? No. Most photographers won’t allow it as well. I don’t mind behind the seen shots, snaps, or videos. But behind the scene photos I would have to be in the images. But hiring me to shoot your photos and then you or have a friend take photos at the same time kind of defeats the purpose. Also I am not at all argumentative. So in the case your friend is standing in the spot I need to be in means you just missed a nice image that I could have captured. I won’t say anything. Ill just move on to the next shot.
Why don’t you print and some do? Honestly that’s the only way I can attempt to keep my prices on the lower end. My colleagues put a lot of time and effort into your prints. More than you realize. I can take more sessions as well if I don’t have to dedicate a day to printing. Doesn’t mean that won’t change one day but for now I just deliver digitals.
What’s turn around time? “fully edited images” will be available within 2-3 days of your session. The remaining images are typically delivered between 2 to 3 weeks. However holiday times will take longer. I make sure that you have images to post for the holidays though.
